What the LovedPack Movement Does

We’re here to give dogs a better chance at being seen, touched, and chosen.

The LovedPack Movement is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We donate Love Packs to::

  • Rescue shelters
  • Foster families
  • New adopters

We also sponsor Wash Days at under-resourced shelters, transforming overlooked dogs into their best, cleanest, most adoptable selves.

We help:

The Problem: Most Shelters Can’t Afford to Groom Their Dogs

Across the world — and right here in the U.S. — millions of rescue dogs go unseen and unadopted.

Not because they’re unworthy — but because they’re unwashed.

The facts:

  • 3.1 million dogs enter U.S. shelters every year (ASPCA)
  • Appearance is one of the top factors influencing whether people approach and adopt a dog
  • A 2014 study in Anthrozoös found that clean, well-groomed dogs are adopted faster
  • A 2020 survey in the Journal of Applied Animal Welfare Science showed that 70% of shelters lack funding/staffing for grooming

Shelters are under-resourced. Grooming is seen as a luxury — but it can be the difference between being passed over and being held.

Why the LovedPack Movement Exists

Because clean dogs get touched.

And touched dogs get chosen.

When we fostered Cliff and Arthur for the day, we saw it firsthand.

They were nervous, dirty, and overlooked.

We gave them care — but we didn’t fully cuddle them right away.

Not until we bathed them.

Once clean, their coats softened. Their scent shifted. Our kids started hugging them.

Strangers stopped to pet Arthur.

Cliff — once avoided for his smell — became someone the whole family wanted to snuggle.

Being clean changes how dogs are seen.

Being touched changes how dogs are loved.

And love changes everything.

Why It Matters

Because smell shouldn’t stand in the way of affection.

Because no dog should miss out on love because of something as fixable as being dirty.

Because sometimes, the distance between being ignored and being embraced…

is just one bath.
